The rocking studio is a residence for sound artists aiming to recreate the experiential journey conveyed by music. The residence uses natural light to dictate the dynamics of the space and influence the interior atmosphere. The notion of a performance has been rethought with the goal of offering a different experience. The rocking studio offers daytime performances when the greatest star in our system, the sun, is at its zenith. Initially, the dwelling acts as a studio residence for the 2 resident artists, and can transform into a performance space capable of hosting the community. The environment acts as a musical instrument, thus creating its own unique sound that can be modulated by its users.
